Confirmed for 14w32a. I was impressed as well that the guys didn't fix this bug when upgrading beacon stuff. I mean it doesn't make sense, right?
Can confirm. It always happens when breeding animals or I'm around them. Then I have to kick myself first before I restart the server otherwise server lags out at "Saving players".
Right, not a java programming expert here but why don't you simply create a code that searches for the closest minecart track (of any kind) that is not itself and dismantles the player to that location. And this is clean and simple as well. Tracks are always on solid blocks (I hope I'm right) and if you wanna be OCD with this code against failure and exceptions, if none of this true, it puts you at the location where you dismantled (where the minecart stopped)... With this, people can create things in a way that they count on logics of exiting minecarts. It would be pretty epic and appreciated by everyone.
Confirmed, very frustrating issue. It seems it starts finding spaces from the NW corner like this ("00" is the minecart and is also the 42nd place where you get dropped):

Comfirmed, it is very critical in the Nether and especially in the End.

Around 4000, 1000 is the mesa in single player.
No sign of mesa or mesa plateau in a 1k radius at least in multiplayer.
