So I figured out what is causing the problem. It's the minecraft store. I decided to try somethings out. First I turned off the internet for my PS4 and started up minecraft (Offline). It actually worked fine and allowed me to play. When I stopped playing and went back to main title screen, I turned back on the internet and signed back into my microsoft account (successfully) but could not load my character and it wouldn't show my tokens/minecoins or any of my purchased items in the minecraft character create area. So I went to the store and it said "We're unable to connect to minecraft store. Maybe check your internet connection?". If I don't close the game (after turning the internet back on) and just play some more it still works until I close the game and same problem occurs on start up. I did this process twice to confirm it and same results. I hope this helps.
So just an update. The 2.09 update did not work for me. I still had the long white loading screen but when the update presented itself, the main screen did not freeze. So i went to play my world and got "updating 1 0f 3 packs" I guess is one less but still staying at 0%. I restart the game and long white loading screen and freezes at main screen again. Possibly an improvement but same song and dance...
Hey just curious, how long do you wait before you gave/give up? Has there been a time you got to white but it takes forever? For me mine takes forever on the white but when I get to main screen it freezes. Also I up voted yours, possibly up vote mine? Ours could be same or similar bug and could help devs fix the bug.
So does anybody else have similar problems as I do? Kinda feel like the devs are just ignoring my problem since I haven't even got one message to even acknowledge my problem.
So there was and update yesterday for the game and it did jack for my problem and I still can't play. Also totally loving the response time here. Really great customer support....
