The bug has been fixed!!!!! Update 0.12.0 officially came out on all platforms and once you update Minecraft PE, you realized that in the username slot it will be written Steve! Just write your username again! Thanks Shoghi and the MojangTeam!!!!

Same here. I am mad about this for like a month and there is still like a week left before the update comes in August. If it's delayed to September..😡😡 Cause come on.. This bug doesn't let you join local multiplayer worlds and servers. You are kinda lonely with a chat that is blank a blank username and your worlds.

First of all, my username isn't JackFrostMiner or any other minecrafter, second of all I am not a moderator and finally, what does that have to do with the bug report? I don't care if I am slow to the info. What I care about is the bug.

I am so mad, the 0.12.0 update was supposed to be yesterday with bug fixes for this bug and guess what, it's be delayed. Now, my favourite server has come back online and I am not able to join. Please fix this soon. I am getting REALLY annoyed about this bug and I have enough. I want to see my friends again in the servers. I can also confirm this bug on an iPad 4 with Retina Display.

This is one of the worst bugs ever. It doesn't let us in servers: "Invalid username" and you can't write something in the chat ( it shows just <). Only thing you can do is go in your worlds. This bug should be fixed very soon. Since I have this bug, I almost don't play Minecraft at all.

Shoghi, I tried your trick about typing lots of letters and then erasing them but it still doesn't work! Please fix this bug soon! I want to be able to go back in servers.
