MC-13255 crash when zombie pigmen falls onto rail track Incomplete

Comments

I am still seeing this error in 1.6.2. Have created several maps to hang upon our clubhouse, and proceeded to hang them up.

However, I noticed that my own arrow disappears after several re-logins and the map is now stuck with the single green arrow despite me removing them.

EDIT: attached two screenies showing the stuck green arrow on-map and off-map. Item frame shows original location.

I can still confirm this for 1.6.2 (ever since 1.5.7), have lost a whole stack of paper and filling up our server with useless map numbers. Can it get fixed at some point, or at least prevent shift-clicking?

Confirming. It seems that while the map is blanked out, you can still explore new chunks that have not yet been revealed. In other words, if the map that disappears hasn't been fully explored, only the explored bits get blanked, but you can still uncover the parts that has never been recorded in that map. This results in what looks like a blank cloud hanging over only the old bits.

In order to recreate this observation: do up a far zoom map, explore it somewhat, and create new maps until it blanks. ( I'm trying to make a 3x3 wall frame of zoom level 2 maps that shows in detail my level 3 and level 4 maps. It seems that when creating a map, it is initially assigned a number corresponding to a map that already exists thus blanking out that map. After a second or two, the map number updates to the expected.
