Did you check if you have mob drops on? Also, I'm kinda jealous that you have 1.16.
If anyone seeing this also finds this problem in their worlds, comment your version and app you used for the map(s)
There is a different pitch to equipping the armor. Idk if this counts as a different sound, but they're pitched differently.
