WEB-6463 Players in China can no longer purchase Minecraft Java & Bedrock on Minecraft.net Works As Intended

Comments

@luan_wo_xin_zhe 这个bug的根本原因在于glfw没有正确处理退格事件,并非加个候选栏就能解决

they can just copy caramelChat or lwjgl3ify 's patch for this issue…

sadly they still not fixing it in 26.1-snapshot-11:https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1NfPxzCEYc

alr I guess I firguared what should pass to env: @im=ibus (as echo $XMODIFIERS shows @im=ibusin my cli… though don’t understand why it wasn’t fcitx since actually IME on my system is fcitx5)

yeh I confirmed that this should be fixed on prism side(other launchers don’t have such issue and setting $XMODIFIERS env var aren’t working for prism), and I created an issue on their repo hope they can invesgate…

https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV12yfaBUEyn reproduced on fedora 43 with fcitx5

(typing don’t prevent movement)

https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1WDfaByEsX confirmed on 26.1-snapshot-10

I wonder how long till mojang fixing this bug?

note: reproducible on prism launcher, but not on official launcher(but still they aren’t fixing MC-258708)

says fixed in 26.1-snapshot-10 but I reproduced on on that snapshot lol

Fedora Linux 43 (KDE Plasma Desktop Edition)

fcitx5 version 5.1.17

confirmed on fedora40 kde spin with 1.20.6/1.21/1.21.1, wayland and fcitx5

(with xwayland, patched glfw and waygl mod)

now Chinese players can no longer purchase minecraft on xbox store and Microsoft App Store too, maybe netease and microsoft are just too greedy?  alr xbox store is back

@zgajak both simplified chinese and mainland China are affected

@Les3awe I created WEB-6463

but I still have no idea it's a bug or requested by n€t€a$€

and moreover, if you get around this issue by changing language to other unaffected languages, you will encounter "this product isn't purchasable" thing if you are in Mainland China

Is that requested by net€a$€?

I thought it's MC-91132 when I was recording this video
