!!! Problem Solved !!!

It is unbelievable but the reason for freezing of Minecraft on my iPad 2018 is WiFi router. To be precise the reason is this specific combination of SW and HW. In other words Minecraft and only Minecraft is freezing on iPad and only on my home WiFi. I have WiFi router from our local cable TV provider.

All other applications and games work on iPad and on my home WiFi like a charm... And of course when I install Minecraft on my Android phone or Windows PC it works on my home WiFi without any problems as well.

So, this was the story. And as always the best helping hand you will find at the end of your own arm, if you know what I mean... 😃

If anybody is interested what HW and SW I am using I can put here the detailed specification. Let me now...

In the meantime you have not done anything I found that this issue is probably related to the iPad 2018 only because a friend of mine has older iPad with the same iOS version (12.1.1) and same version of Minecraft (1.8.0) and on his iPad it works fine. I would like to stress out that the problem is related only to the Minecraft!!! All other apps and games works like a charm...

I have done some more testing and found out that when I connect to the internet via Bluetooth hotspot it is possible to start the Minecraft as well as browse the store but it is limited. The game works slow and sometimes it reports that there is no internet connection...

Hi, thanks for your reply. We do not use the XBL at all. Since upgrade to iOS 12.1 or 12.1.1 the game does not work (the white screen appears). As per Stephen's findings when you turn WiFi off the game works normally.

Hi Mojang, are you going to respond to all those Unconfirmed and Unresolved issues?

We all paid for the game and now can't play it partially or at all!

Hi, thanks for your response. We had iOS 11.4 and it seemed to be working fine till the iOS upgrade. Definitely iOS 12.1 or 12.1.1 is causing the issue.

I hope that somebody from Mojang is going to response during the working hours.

BTW we have iPad 2018 but it is definitely not the HW issue...

Hi I have the same issue adn thanks to you my son is able play the game. However, I think that the reason for this problem is iOS 12. The game was working without any issues on iOS 11.4 even with WiFi On.

Please let me know whether you have not upgraded the iOS like I did?
