This has happened to me as well, but at times I get more than just a few seconds or a minute. One of the longest ones I had lasted for ten minutes. One moment it was day time and the next was night time and I almost died because of a skeleton when the game froze.
This same problem has been happening to me as well. But only on the one platform that I play the most, my Nintendo Switch.
