For those of you it’s still not working try this it worked for me:
Settings > Apps & Games > Manage all applications > Minecraft > Force Stop then Clear Data then Clear Cache all 3 in the same screen
it still didn’t open full until I uninstalled from the same screen as above and then went to the App Store and searched for Minecraft and clicked install - it didn’t charge any Money as the Amazon kindle must know you have paid for it on the same device already Good Luck!
