The portal had two blocks touching lava. They were corner blocks so I don't see why it wouldn't work. This exact portal setup works on legacy console editions, but not bedrock???

However, the existing portal WAS activated when I went into the nether, so I don't see why the game would create a new one. Also going from nether to overworld takes me to the same bedrock surrounded portal that was already there.
