I am having the exact same problem! I wanted to cross-play with my kids last night. I have the PC version and the PS4 version, ran the PS4 client and it wouldn't let me connect to my LAN server without linking a MS account. I linked my main MS account and it wouldn't let me connect both because it didn't like that I was signed in from 2 places (Even though I bought both copies of the game 😞 ... this is a lame design. Please reconsider. I shouldn't be prevented from playing by your pay wall if I already paid for both clients.). I tried to unlink the MS account, create a brand-new MS account for use on the PS4, and it would not let me link it. I get the "Oops! ..." error already attached to this thread by others.
