@Samuel Klumpers Nope, not fixed. I'm replicating it right now in 14w11b. Seriously, try to get an item to fall down a 1x1 shaft with a downward-facing dispenser. Can't do it.
I just made an account specifically to report this bug, it's driving me nuts. I can add that even if you place the dispenser/dropper in a 1x1 vertical shaft or tunnel, the items refuse to fall straight down and get ejected west.
