MCPE-176887 Villagers linking to different beds on reload Duplicate

Comments

Very possibly related to that ticket.  I cannot confirm what villagers were linking to what bed upon reload as spread out as they are. This problem has never caused my game to crash. I have never witnessed multiple villagers sleeping in one bed. I never moved villagers into the nether or zombified them to see if they reset. In a creative copy of my world, I sent them far away and brought them back, but it did not fix them.My trips to netrher or traveling far away did not reset their beds after I reset them while the game was on. Villagers did not breed over bed limit.

It appears the only way to fix this issue is to remove the affected villagers. I do not understand coding, but it is clear something went wrong their retaining the location of their beds on exiting/reloading.

Steps I took to fix this:

I noticed the librarian on the second floor was not retaining her workstation, I removed (killed) her. Next, I bred new butchers, one at a time, and removed the old ones accordingly. The new butchers retain their beds without any issue. Lastly, the first floor librarian still claimed my bed many blocks away upon reload, so I removed him. I did not do this all at once, but over several days to see if each removal would correct the issue. I did remove the beds and workstations after I removed the villagers.

This has fixed my issues. If I decide to add more villagers, I will monitor them closely and at the first sign of this problem, remove them and breed again.

https://www.xbox.com/play/media/GzSbe3Uxkk  I hope this is helpful. I also counted my villager. I have a lot more than I thought. 52 total, but only the four in the video are involved in the issue. The librarians workstation on the bottom floor is aprox 20 blocks away from the bed, upper floor librarians workstation is 15 blocks away. The distance between the butchers beds and librarians beds is 65-70 blocks. I removed my bed before starting the video.

Auldrick, thanks for the clarification about how and where the deaths occur. As far as my stuff despawning, I suppose it's a mystery. I logged into my world, fell, died, hit the button from the death screen to respawn, respawned at a bed within ten blocks from where I thought I fell, I would guess all within 30 seconds from which game became active. Then I ran around like an idiot trying to locate my stuff. I ran around outside my build, checked all the floors of my build, climbed the towers, checked the roof, then gave up, knowing I was probably too near the 5 min marker to find it. It's possible I just couldn't find exact spot I crash landed. I did see my stuff on the death screen. It's also a single player game. Multiplayer is turned off.

Luckily this only happened to me once, but I'm a little confused by some of the comments. When I fell, I could see parts of my current build some 700 blocks away from my original world spawn point where I logged out. I respawned at the last bed I slept in in the same location. All of my stuff apparently evaporated, as I could not locate it anywhere in the vicinity. I play on Xbox one on a world transferred from the Xbox edition. If everyone else is reporting falling at spawn, was I just mistaken in what I saw when I fell? I'm hesitant to build a water trap over my world spawn if it's not going to work, and it would be very difficult to build one where I think I fell. I now put everthing in a chest before I log out, which works great, but I do run across the occasional glitches where I have to restart the game. Playing with substandard equipment to keep my good stuff safe is an option, but not very convenient.

Just happened to me on Xbox one. Logged in, fell from the sky, lost all my stuff. I am playing in a world transferred from Xbox edition. I don't know if that makes any difference.
