I have the same problem and I use double doors. Perhaps the solution would be for fences and doors to be generated first.

But what would you suggest for people that are not playing in a swamp biome?In my world, I had slimes spawning at below level
40 but after the update, they've stopped. Reading your comment, in MCPE-30413, do I have to remove all the levels to expose where they use to spawn? Lol

My world isn't a swamp biome but before the update they would spawn at a certain location.
