@Kumasasa:
Thanks, I think this could be the right answer.
Pity, Computer says: No.
Nvidia installation fails, without any hint what happened, and this may become a long adventure, ending up with installing new Windows ... 😉
Stay tuned.
p.s.: I just observed by task manager that when I pause the game and minimize the window, the memory usage instantly goes down to 40MB (sic! It decreases from 1200 MB to 37 MB within no time) and then starts to grow again, but much slower as when window is displayed.
Enforced crash report
@Kumasasa:
Sorry, can't find a crash report.
It just spams:
Client> 2013-08-04 19:46:49 [CLIENT] [SEVERE] ########## GL ERROR ##########
Client> 2013-08-04 19:46:49 [CLIENT] [SEVERE] @ Post render
Client> 2013-08-04 19:46:49 [CLIENT] [SEVERE] 1285: Out of memory
... and many blocks get invisible, until Minecraft shows the Out of memory screen.
Is there something I can do to enforce a crash report (or did I look at the wrong place)?
I'm getting this on Win XP 32bit, 3,3GB, GeForce 8600GT.
Minecraft says:
Used memory: 25% (131MB) of 494MB
But Taskmanager shows that javaw.exe uses up more and more space and reaches 2GB within 5 minutes, then crashes.
Updated to last java, didn't help.
As with 1.6.2.:
putting 50 chickens into a 1*20-Space, in smp on a internet server, let's them visually glitch out all the time, but that's just a visual error.
But when I move more then 60 or 80 blocks away (so that the chickens aren't displayed anymore), wait a while, and then come back, then some of them are for real out of the fences (disconnecting and new login doesn't change it).
So, it doesn't happen when the chunks get unloaded and loaded again, but also when you walk 80 blocks away and come back again.
