I’m having the exact same issue on Xbox. It only started happening sometime this week has it was fine when I last played last weekend. I presume it’s a issue with an update?

Since I’ve posted this I think I have discovered the issue. After the user sync window the game tries to load a webpage which tells you about the new update. If there is internet connectivity issues, the webpage doesn’t load and the game doesn’t proceed to show the menu.
