is nobody from Mojang going to comment on this at all ?
someone else had the same issue and it just gets tacked on to this and left alone ?
is it to do with chunk-loading ? no feedback whatsoever to suggest ways to (maybe) avoid it ??
it happened again on a different world - playing in my friend's world.
what is going on ??
[media]i have the same issue - i didn't realize it when i bought it - but then looking at it on the wall was when it hit me.
it's an existing village but a new Cartographer
[media]Thank you for your comprehensive clarification, i will try using glass next.
Although i have used slabs for vertical redstone before and it did work here;
[media]have done more troubleshooting and the issue is NOT the observer - but could i ask this question here anyway ?
why is the redstone (in attached picture below) not conducting downwards ?
[media]i just noticed it got placed in Bedrock Dedicated Server but am using "standard version" on Windows 10
Only realized this today also 😞
I'd always known special ores (Redstone, Gold, Lapis & Diamond) needed "at least" Iron pickaxe - was always under the assumption that Gold was "above" Iron.
Wasted a SilkTouch enchantment on a Golden pickaxe then :/
(well, at least it can be used for Glowstone - and moving bee nests)
Just wanted to add my 2 cents to the list.
Noticed it immediately after the Nether Update and was hoping it would be a quick fix (just swapping back the texture file ?) - anyway, is still unchanged as per 1.16.20 - Bedrock Pocket Edition.
i don't know how you want me to reproduce the problem because it's erratic - as i said, i had passed that area countless times before without problem - the one thing that i would recall being different was going much faster - leaving/dismounting the horse fast and moving on.
i am not going to risk yet another horse just to test this and i don't know if you would bother to do that if i attached a copy of the world,
i do play on a somewhat slow internet connection and i think that seems to be relevant since many Bedrock issues seem to be lag-related.
as for chunk borders, i believe you can calculate that yourself from the pictures i attached which show coordinates.
