@urielsalis I realise you meant signing out of the Xbox live account used in the MC app running on the iPad - my question is whether/how this is possible if I cannot start the app 🙂
If I have un-installed and re-installed will that sign out be implicit (ie. it is stored in MC app data on the iPad) - or is the signed in state stored on the cloud somehow so a re-install will have no effect on the signed in status of the iPad/MC?
@urielsalis - regarding the potential workaround you just added:
Make sure you are connected to a secure wifi, with no network parental controls or VPNs
I have secure wifi with no additional checks - the other iPad on the same network runs MC with no issues
Try logging out of the Xbox account
Is this possible without a running copy of MC? (as the crash happens way before seeing any account options)
Would changing the password on the account force this?
Or is there a remote force logout in XBox accounts?
Updated now to 1.13.1 - loads the mojang splash, then white screen for approx 5-10 seconds then exits, so same symptoms
Reinstalled (after reinstall it got as far as asking if I wanted notifications), ensured the app was properly ended first, tried with airplane mode on

Shout if I can provide more info or try anything specific to help
I have 2 iPads - Minecraft works on the newer one, not on the old - but neither are really new, (details below)
They have both been running Minecraft successfully for several months until the 1.13 update, after that the newer iPad Air works as before (but with foxes!) older iPad 3rd Gen will exit after/during the white loading screen that follows the Mojang logo
Both iPads are as up to date as they will allow on iOS versions - and they both have a reasonable amount of disk space
They both have xbox logins, the one on the failing iPad is mine - Adult, unrestricted - the iPad that works is logged into a more restricted child account
Both are WiFi & Cellular models - both have a SIM installed - neither has data on the account so no cellular connection
Regularly tried opening MC again - in hope!
iPad Off/On
Opening MC on the erroring iPad without the other one running MC (long shot! wondered if it was a LAN game error)
Reinstalling MC
Clearing disk space
Turning off Wifi and starting MC
When I did this it got as far as telling me to go to settings to turn on wifi when I started MC - but then crashed shortly after
Turning on Airplane Mode and starting MC

I did not yet see an update (last checked 1 hour ago) - will update here if it arrives and changes anything
I see on some other report that crash logs get sent directly so I guess you already have the info you need - but if not or there is something specific I can try, or some logs I can try to get you - message me, I'm more than happy to delve in to help
Fixed for me with MC version 1.13.2 thanks for the hard work!
To answer a couple of previous questions:
The release notes say it is too fix a crash on starting in iOS app I guess it is specific for this issue (or at least one of the issues with these symptoms)
I just upgraded, but I have in the past uninstalled and reinstalled so I don't know whether that made a difference
