Hello, I have got the same problem, playing on PS4. I load in my bed presumably because I was sleeping shortly before logging off. But the error I get doesn't seem related it's error CE-34878-0.
I tried Jonah's suggestion, and was able to chat, followed by the same crash. IT WORKED!!!! When I got back in, I got back in. Don't know why it worked but it did!
