Can not launch any modded or vanilla profile except for the most recent 17W43 snapshot, with no sound.
Still trying to understand how they can fix the windows 10 version in under half an hour, while the rest of us are still wondering 12 hours later now.

Just got up. Linux is showing new launcher version 1.6.84-j, instead of the broken 1.6.82-j. Least it's fixed, but i can agree with Rob Johnson's post on MultiMC. I am astounded i hadn't heard of it sooner, though it lacks a few basic options IMO.
