I can confirm this is happening on our 14w32d server.

Confirmed. Our village was blown up by creepers because the iron golems did not try to attack them.

I'm not saying that you should be able to make rabbits sit – I'm saying that rabbits should not teleport to the player under any circumstances. Teleporting rabbits was marked as a duplicate of this.

This does not seem to be as intended – rabbits should work more like other peaceful mobs. You should be able to make a rabbit pen and put rabbits in it. They should not teleport at all.

You're right. My armor must have broken at that moment, I know it was nearly depleted. Glad to see that it is fixed.
