Same same.. love 4k plus walks back to base with nothing. World seems fine, hope it stays that way, just finished 30villager trading hall with unlmtd iron @ 1emerald don't fancy starting over.. Spend all xp and move inventory to a chest not ender chest then save and quit works for me tis tedious but wehey what can you do. 

Same issue on XBSX only recently. Loading a world crashes back to XB Home, sometimes three times in a row and when I do load in instead of being where I saved and quit I'm placed back at world spawn some 4k plus blocks away from base and any item in inventory is gone as is xp. The preview image of the world is fine showing where I should but I'm not loading there. Also logged in five minutes ago and its happening again. Not placing me back at world spawn thank god but it is putting me back a few saves and with a wiped inventory... honestly having to spend all xp and move whole inventory before saving and quitting, hoping its only an inventory thing as world looks OK for now....
