Mojang Studios Note
Thank you for your patience while we continue to work on addressing the issue raised here. Please be assured we are actively looking into a solution and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Please note: if you notice that your inventory is missing when you join a world, leave immediately and then rejoin - that should result in your correct player save loading in.
I was loading into a single player world when I got in my inventory was wiped absolutely nothing, also sent to spawn with no death message and if I died I would have gone to bed, as well when I checked ender chest was wiped clean. The time I logged off before I saved and quit, then didn’t close game until on world screen. Everything else in the world looks fine. I don’t know if this matters but my ender chest and inventory were full. This happened on ps4 1.19.50 no experiment features no mods no anything. I had been tp back to spawn after logging in before but with stuff that time

📓 Issue Guidelines – 💬 Mojang Support – 📧 Suggestions – 📖 Minecraft Wiki

I have had the same issue twice on an almost one year old world (its about 385 megabytes in size, and at day 2564). At first I had assumed the worst and thought my inventory corrupted, but apparently, a single relog was enough to fix the issue both times.
I don't know about C++ coding and stuff, but my guess would be it might be an occasional error with assigning player data. I might also supply the information I've had the same Microsoft Account logged into the same world at once, which was done by hosting it on mobile and joining on PC (I'm not too sure if that's intended to to work or not).

I've been having this issue on switch I seem to lose everything except a starting map. I close out of the world before it autosaves and try loading the world again and it seems to be fine.

I think MCPE-165054 is a duplicate of this bug/they report the same bug.

I had the issue happen for the third time, but there seemed to be what I thought was an "updating resource packs" screen just before the "loading terrain" screen. It might be connected, I'm not too sure...

I've had a consistent way to reproduce this bug a few times (does not work on Windows from testing, was tested on an Android phone):
Join any multiplayer server (featured or not) or a realm - not a multiplayer world.
Log into any world of yours - your inventory should appear empty and you should be back at spawn.
Log into the same world again - your inventory should be normal once again.
Also affects 1.19.51

So you're saying, every time you join a multiplayer world, then leave, then join any world, your inventory will be empty? In the second step, when you said "log into any world", can that be the same multiplayer world as step 1, or does it have to be different? Does it have to be a singleplayer world or multiplayer? Does it make a difference (in step 1) whether you use a normal multiplayer world, or you use a Realm, and does it matter if you are the host or if another player hosts?
It's fine if you're unable to answer all of these questions! 🙂

Something similar happened to me before on my friend's multiplayer world. I should note, however, that after leaving and rejoining, everything returned to normal. It has only happened to me once.

Happened to me twice now. I was doing normal stuff in the nether, I click the save and quit button when I am done. And then I quit Minecraft after the saving is done. When I joined the next day. I find myself in the overworld. At world spawn, with nothing but my starting map. I don't know how this occured, but I think it is a issue with saving. Because all My build were the same. Nothing broken or reset. My Inventory and Enderchest got wiped for no known reason though. Thank God I always make world copys. I would have lost all my stuff if I didn't.
REMEMBER ALWAYS MAKE WORLD COPIES, WHILE PLAYING BEDROCK EDTION. IT CAN SAVE EVERYTHING.
Edit: My world is pretty big around 300 MB

@Guinea Pig 22 Usually exiting and rejoining the world fixes the issue. The game assumes you're a new player (no idea why) so it gives you a new starting map, empty inventory, empty ender chest, etc. It usually still remembers your old inventory, you just have to exit and rejoin another time to get it back.

This happened to me (as the host) after changing the world to Friends of Friends from invite only - it's a creative world and I have a play timer on a scoreboard so I could see I had been added as a totally new player (now showing as "Player Offline").
Upon restarting the world I was back to normal, but the "Player Offline" that was created is still there.
Edit: I joined someone else's multiplayer world to try and troubleshoot multiplayer issues I was having, and when rejoining my creative world I was back as the totally new player (the same one). Leaving and rejoining put me back to normal again.
Edit 2: Every time I join someone else's world the first time I join any world I'm there as If I'm a new player. This may help with recreating the bug

It happened to me twice so far, every time when I joined someone else's world and then join my own world after it.

Can confirm in 1.19.51: this happened after quitting The Hive.
Also, some tips for players of Bedrock Edition to prevent any corruption:
Always close and restart the game before you load any of your SSP world after quitting a server.
If you find yourself lost your inventory, an immediate reload of the world will help.
Copy the world every time after quitting it.
(Optional) Regularly save your worlds into a durable storage like HDD from your device. This will prevent some unpredictable failures of your own devices.

From my duplicate (and steps below) - this was a 100% reproducible method in my testing:
One reported way to reproduce this (from MCPE-166356):
Join a server or realm
Save and quit back to UI
Open a local world

Can confirm as of 30/1/23 it’s still an issue for bedrock players. Same happened to me 5 times now over the last few days. After reading this thread it seems as though the issue for me is I’m also a part of my friends realm that we play together (about 4-5 of us). But because none of them usually play other/their own worlds I’ve heard no issues.
I’m going to get my friend to make a world and see if this bug happens to him too, but it seems it will judging by how it’s created for so many.
Just to confirm how to fix the bug (temporarily anyway) so the best two options are:
If I’ve logged in and spawned as a “new player” with no inv. I can exit and save the game to quit. And when on the main menu, simply load the game again and it should fix it?
Other option is make a copy of the world each time, load into that copy, leave, delete the copy and then load the original the world?
I’ve also found a third potential option could be load the original game to find no inv and new player spawn…exit the game, make a copy of the world AFTER exiting from the original world, then delete it as soon as it’s created without even loading into that copy world. Open the original world and apparently that should fix it too.
Is the first option the most ideal/safest way for now? And if so is how I’ve worded it exactly how it’s done? If so at least it’ll save having to make copies of the world each time!
Thanks for any help and reply, hopefully the bug will get fixed soon!!!

Ngl I'm sad this was reported.
I had discovered this bug on my own and how to reproduce it. I was scrolling on bug tracker a few minutes ago to see if it had been reported, and I saw it was. Kinda sad. Thankfully, I was able to use the bug to save my main which was falling into the void.
The one time a bug helps.

This happened to me recently in my main survival world (nearly a year and a half old). I think it’s linked to realism, cause I joined my friend’s realm and then left and joined the world. Upon leaving and rejoining, everything was normal.

This is currently happening to me and my boyfriend on the switch. We even redownloaded the game. He starts as a new player in an existing world we’ve been playing on. And I start as a new player in my own world that I’ve played in.

This happened to me in 1.19.60 as well, and most settings in the game had been reset upon launch. However, after restarting the game, I could join my world as normally.

This has not gone away for me. Several times I have tried rejoining my world and my boyfriends world and we still have no inventory. What are we supposed to do?

Bug affects v1.19.62
I loaded my world (Singleplayer, i was inside of my base when I closed the game). But then I opened the world and.. I'm in the middle of nowhere, without all my stuff and without levels.
I'll try to attach a video with the bug

Minecraft is unplayable for me now. No matter how many times I log out and then back in I have no level or inventory. At least it stopped sending me to spawn...

es injugable el multijugador, cada vez que entro a un servidor con amigos aparezco en el spawn sin experiencia ni objetos y cuando salgo y vuelvo a entrar aparece el error de "detected lost conection", cada uno juega con distintas consolas

Klicrai, that sounds like you died. If you lost your inventory and levels permanently, even after exiting and rejoining, then you probably died. That would also explain why you aren't stuck at world spawn every time you join.

Having the same problem. Played yesterday fine was working in the nether. Went load back in last night and was sent to spawn in the over world with no inventory at all. All my builds are still in my world but my fill inventory is just gone. If quit (without saving) and tried loading again and it’s the same every time. The thumbnail for my save looks right, it’s definitely in the nether, but still load into the over world. Worried now with the auto save on bedrock that I just have to bring out all those tools and gear again.

The same has been happening to me. Every world I open, I lost all inventory and was set back to spawn. When I died, I kept spawning at spawn, not my bed. Went back to my base where I logged off to see if I died and if my bed was still intact. No items were dropped and my bed was still there. This is in every world of mine. And I play on Xbox One X.

Have the same issue on my series X. It's pretty consistent with re spawning me back at my base now with no levels as well as my inventory and ender chest empty. What works for me is I either save and quit then rejoin to gain my stuff back or load my redstone test world first, save and quit then load my survival world. Not exiting the game for this, just going back to the main menu.

I figured out how to fix it!!!
I’m not sure if this is a permanent fix but it worked for me. This bug happened to me in my main world last night I exited without saving and went back in a couple times, I got stressed and exited without saving and turned off minecraft so I can figure out later. Today I looked it up trying to find a way to fix it and couldn’t find anything, I logged onto one of my other worlds that didn’t matter to me, the same thing happened, I exited with the save and quit button. It brought me back to the screen that shows all of my worlds and the pictures were all grey for a couple seconds like they were loading. The picture of the world I had just exited was still the same as before I went in. I logged back into it and I was where I was before the bug, with all my stuff. I exited again and signed into my main world and I have all my stuff back, and I’m where I left off, not at spawn. I’m not sure if this is a permanent fix and I’m probably going to put all my stuff in a chest before I exit this world for a while just in case this happens again and this doesn’t fix it.
I should probably also mention this all happened on my Xbox one S

I tried something similar to Lao2oole's fix and it worked.
I made a copy of my primary world and went into it. I did a few things and then Save and Exited the game. When I reloaded it, it took me back to where I left off before the issue and all my stuff was back. I also tried reloading my original world and was right back where I before the issue too!
This is all on my Series X
Will also probably be putting my inventory in a chest before Save and Quitting every time for a while.
UPDATE
This only worked once. When I saved the game again and loaded back in, I was back in a previous save location and could not get it to load all my progress. Very annoying.

Workaround:
If you leave and rejoin you will be back where you left off.

Putting items in a chest won't help! The game knows exactly which items you have, it just doesn't recognize you as the owner of those items. It assumes you are a new player, and gives you a new inventory, new map if applicable, and spawns you at world spawn.
If this happens, simply exit and rejoin, and it will recognize which player you are the second time, and give you your inventory and levels, and everything else.
Putting items in a chest is not a good idea! If you place items in a chest, then the next (real life) day, you join the world with nothing, DO NOT TAKE ITEMS OUT OF THE CHEST. When you exit the world and rejoin, the game will forget about the "new player" who had nothing, so any items that the "new player" had will be lost, including those items you took out of the chest!
I agree, this issue is VERY annoying, but just exit and rejoin whenever it happens and you will be completely fine.

I just updated to 1.19.63. I loaded into world spawn despite not having died. No inventory, no levels. This sucks.

SOLUTION:
This happened to me. I turned off my console and turned it back on. I reloaded Minecraft and waited at the main menu for about 30 seconds until I new for a letter of fact I was logged into my MicroSoft account. When I reloaded the world, I had everything. This has happened twice to me. Once on a creative world, another on a survival world.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I tried to join my friend's realm but it didn't work so I loaded up my single-player world only to find myself at initial spawn and my inventory cleared out. The last time I logged in I was at my base. I tried restarting my console and waiting at the menu before loading up the world and I'm still at spawn with none of my items.

This is happening to me and now the game is unplayable. I have a few saved historical games, just in case but every time, I go back to one of them, play, then save, it then trashes the inventory and moves my starting point.
I only have a few back up games saved so sooner or later, I will have to stop playing because I will lose all of the progress.
just as importantly, it’s pointless playing because any future progress will be lost.
Using X Box One Bedcraft and the latest update. Problem started about 3 days ago and it is continuing

Further to my last, it is sending me to the original spawn as a new player.
I don’t know how to exit without saving, so every time I play, it is overwriting my progress and ruining the backups

Is anyone from Mojang doing anything with this bug? There doesn’t seem to be any feedback.

Workaround that works for me, leave the world and rejoin and you should be back where you were originally.

Not sure what platform you are on, but to leave without saving on the xbox, you just need to hit the xbox button on the controller and quit the game. The problem is the auto save feature so if you kid in and see you are not in the right place you have to be quick.

Evan and ZBearrows - many thanks for offering some advice. Much appreciated
Sadly, turning off and then trying to come back into the world doesn’t work.
I am using X Box One and I immediately switched off when I saw it has returned me to spawn.
But on reloading, the same thing happened😞

After a couple days of dealing with this issue I decided to create a new world and play in that for a while just so I can get my Minecraft fix then yesterday while playing in my new world I decided to see if maybe the bug got fixed and it spawned me back to where I was 5 days ago with everything so I put all my important stuff into a different chest instead of my ender chest came back today and I'm back with the same problem but because I moved all of my important stuff into a regular chest it was still there. I definitely seems like quite the big glitchy bug. So so I went back to my newest world and definitely doesn't seem right, the progress I did last night is all still there I did not respawn to world spawn however I was out in the ocean away from my bed so I didn't have to swim far and I had things in my inventory that I took out and put in a chest last night.

It happened to me too. Thankfully @unknown‘s fix worked for me. Playing on Xbox Series S btw.

Same thing for me. I was just sent to spawn for no reason. No death message, nada in my inventory. I got back to my base grabbed some gear from a chest and saved and thought that was the end of it. Saved my game. Next day I come back and all of my original stuff is back in my inventory and I'm at a different load point than when I saved. It's now alternating every time I load my game between these two states. Huge HUGE bug!

Based on some of the comments,I have tried workarounds but nothing works for me.
But I don’t really want a workaround, I want Mojang to fix the problem and quickly.
Maybe it’s time for Mojang to allow the paying customer not to have updates, if this is the result

It seems saving after the bug happens doesn't lose your prior progress, I noticed even after saving and logging out it kept the old thumbnail on the world select, after reading through this thread yesterday I thought I had lost everything due to saving, however logging in and out repeatedly spawned my pre update save on the third attempt.
I have emptied my ender chest and inventory for the time being and probably won't be playing till this is fixed but this leads me to believe there may be two different save states that the game is attempting to load as it loads two separate inventories depending on which save state loads.
(Xbox series s)

This has happened to me for the first time yesterday... and then again today... on two different saved worlds. In both cases, my inventories were completely wiped, my levels were wiped, and I spawned back at the original world spawn despite having my bed at a different place and having used those beds for months and months as I built up a home base away from spawn.
Fortunately, I have long made a habit of creating a separate backup copy of my world saves each time I end a play session (from the edit screen). This meant I had a copy from my previous play session before the bug occurred, so I was able to create another copy from the unloaded backup, then load that... and it loaded correctly. So far, this issue is only occurring when I first start the game, not when I load a new save from within the already started game. My platform is Xbox X, v1.19.63.

I ran another test on another different world save... I quit the game entirely from the Xbox Home Page (without shutting down the Xbox itself), waited a minute, and then launched the game anew. I chose a world save to load and spawned in at the original world spawn with my inventory and levels completely wiped. (So, this bug is 100% occurring when the game is first launched). I used the "Save & Quit" option, then deleted that save from the main screen using the "edit" screen. I then scrolled down to my backup "copy of" save I had made on a previous session and used the "edit" screen to make a "copy of copy of" save. I then loaded that save and it loaded correctly (So, this is currently a reliable workaround... as long as one has backup copies made from before the bug occurs.
To other players: IF you have not made a copy of your world from a previous play session, I suggest you go directly to the "edit" screen before trying to open any save and make a copy at that time to avoid having the save file ruined by this bug by opening it whenever the game is first launched. That way, if it does occur, you'll have a good backup save to copy from and try again.
This is a serious bug and, hopefully, there will be a fix soon.
It should also add, all 3 save files that were affected over the last two days were single-player saves.

Workaround load the game as normal until the world select, make a copy of your world, load that copy (should be at world spawn) save and quit, reload that same copy (should be where you was) save and quit again, you now should be able to load into your main world fine. You may have to do this every time you load the game.

To fix this bug for now, simply just rejoin the world if you ever get the "alternate" player data.

Thanks to everyone offering thoughts.
I keep trying to use the suggested workarounds but none of them to date are effective.
My preference now is for Mojang to fix this as a matter of urgency.
The game is simply unplayable

@James - No doubt the reason the workaround is not working for you is because you're trying to fix a file save in which the bug has already occurred. The workaround is geared towards preventing the bug from ruining a save file that has not yet been opened by making a copy of it before it is opened... then, if the bug does occur, you would still have a "good" copy of that file save so that you could try again with another copy of that copy. You can then still play the game once you get a good loading of your save. When you exit the save, you can still allow it to save your progress... but then make another backup copy of it... so that if the bug occurs the next time you start your game, you have your good backup to make a copy from and try to load the save again.
The bug seems to only occur when you first launch the game and, for me at least, it occurs on the first file save I open whenever I first launch the game 100% of the time. On the second and subsequent file saves I open as long as I haven't quit the game itself, the bug does not occur.
I do agree... I hope they can fix this bug as soon as possible. Isolating it to the first saved open after launching the game, I hope, helps them track it down quicker.

@ J.Metcalfe……thanks for coming back to me. I probably didn’t explain myself clearly. I did make back up copies of the world when it last worked. I have been working through those copies one at a time, trying the suggested solutions. And then making sure I retain at least one “good” copy but it’s a time consuming process testing the solutions.
Frankly, I am getting increasingly annoyed with Mojang

Still happening on xbox every time an update or preview drops. Have to load a creative spectator copy in order to have survival load, and hope it doesn't bug.
Of course the files still corrupt, but I got a free couple open chunk pits that I don't have to dig ( clean down to open void ), so win?

Current Solution :
1.Get inside the world.
2.Get out of the world.
3.Then renter back. (if it didn't work) go to step 4
4.Get inside the world, out of the world.
5.Get out of minecraft.
6.Get inside minecraft

This is only for pc there is no way to really dig into save files on xbox.

But there is still a bug in the updates coding creating secondary save states on entering worlds when first launching the game on Xbox that needs to be addressed regardless of whether you can dig into save files or not.

Same same.. love 4k plus walks back to base with nothing. World seems fine, hope it stays that way, just finished 30villager trading hall with unlmtd iron @ 1emerald don't fancy starting over.. Spend all xp and move inventory to a chest not ender chest then save and quit works for me tis tedious but wehey what can you do.

Here's a guaranteed workaround:
If you load, and you see your inventory is wiped, then press Alt+F4 to exit and prevent the world auto saving. On Android, quickly delete the Minecraft task. Whatever you do, do not press "save and exit". I don't know how you would kill the Minecraft instance on Xbox or PlayStation though...

I have a same issue, don't know if anyone else's has done the same thing. So on my world I was randomly sent to world spawn with no items and had to walk back to base. Anyway after a few days of playing I logged on again to find myself spawed where I had been with my old inventory overwriting my new one (costing me a stack of golden apples and full enchanted armour.) The world is the same, as in since the first deletion all the new stuff is still present and this time I didn't spawn at the world spawn. But it's weird, should I now live in fear that my inventory will delete and reappear at random?

Hello, I see you have the same problem as I. If you don't want to lose your items, try reloading the world again and your inventory will be restore. But if the trick don't work always make a backup of your world every time you leave. It's what I do.

My bf and I had this problem in a world hosted on his pc, with me on PS4 joining.
When he logged out, and back in, he was at spawn with no inventory.
He got on with things, and the next time he logged in, he was back where he had logged out the previous time, with his original inventory.
I noticed that he was on 1.19.6.0, and I was on 1.19.62.
He forced the update, and we didn't have any more problems.
I've started having it in my single player world though. It's happening every time I go into the world the first time after I've opened the game now.
If you save & quit, and go back in, you're back in the correct place, with your inventory back.
If you pick anything up before you save and quit, your original inventory will override it, and those items will be lost.
It's almost like it's failing to load the character and its inventory, so giving up and resetting you. But the data is still there, so when you reload, it is able to load it.
Another commenter said to not save the game, to force exit.
I don't know if closing the app on PS4 allows it to save and quit in the background, or does just kill it, but I've been saving and quiting, and I've got my inventory back / put back to the right place, every time, so it's certainly not an issue on PS4.
I'm on PS4, with the latest version.

@oyoyu If you pop a random item in the "failed to load" inventory you will notice it manages to load that item each time it fails to load the initial inventory.

This just happened to me on singleplayer Windows Bedrock Edition v1.19.63. At first I thought I died, but upon revisiting my last location I did not find any dropped items. My items had been straight up deleted from the game.
However, after quitting and rejoining the world again my items were back and I was back in my original spot as though nothing had happened.

Happened to me 2x.
In one I rebelled and abandoned the save.
Today when entering my items and level were deleted, I read in another comment here that relogging can solve it.
I wanted to point out two things that I noticed that could be crazy but I think it's worth it, when entering the game it takes a long time to log into my microsoft/mojang account I just ignore it and go to my world so I believe he may be logging in as a second player , and when we left and returned he already logged into the microsoft account and we logged him in correctly.
I'm terrible with English, I can send you the original text in Portuguese.
thanks.
Thank you for the additional information and for your patience. We have rolled out a fix on our side to address issues related to inventory not loading correctly. There is no new version number nor a need to update your game, please just close and restart the game while being online to get the fix.
Reopening as it seems that the issue is still reproducible in some circumstances at least.
Please note - if you join a world and see that your inventory is missing, exit and rejoin before making any progress in the world (eg collecting blocks) - the consensus is that your inventory and progress should be recoverable then.

I just wanted to respond to Luriam's theory.
I don't know about other system UIs.
On PS4, your account loads in, with your character showing, or Steve before it logs in, whilst in the main menu.
I've had a few times, some time ago, where it hadn't logged in, and I just didn't wait, and then I didn't have my skin in game. So now, I always wait until it has loaded my character, and it has my user name on the left.
Then I go to the play menu.
Also, when it first happened to me, I was worried about all of the Netherite I had on me, and resources, and spent a while in my inventory, whilst I asked my bf about the times it had happened to him.
My skin was on.
So I don't think it can be that.

When I last commented on this, I failed to note that I had tried just quitting and reloading... and it didn't work. I was also experiencing the bug every time I loaded a world after freshly launching the game.
Something has changed today though in that I've launched the game (after fully quitting it) and loaded worlds 4 times today with no problems. Hopefully the issue won't recur, but I'm still making my backup copies just in case, because it never hurts to have a backup anyways.

Happening to me on Xbox Series X as well. At first I could restart my Xbox and my items would appear back in my inventory. Since last night, my items are not re-appearing in my inventory after restarting my Xbox to rejoin my world.

Update to last comment my last comment:
When connecting to a realm server, leaving, joining my original world, my items are back in my inventory with xp restored to original amount.

Adding my report into the mix.
Me, hosting Bedrock game on PC, windows 11, my son connecting to the game via his switch. At first we are on LAN, no problem. Then online when we were at different houses, no problem. And then when he was back home, tried again and he was reset as a new character, so no inventory or enchantment levels and showed up at spawn.
We've tried having him join and leave the game 20-30 times at this point and it's always the new character, so we're thinking his inventory is lost at this point 😞

Adding to the issue
My cousin (an adult who doesn't have an account for the forms) is experiencing this issue. I had happened to him twice and the bug seems to be a loading issue with the inventory. Just now, he had lost all his items while coming back to play. He obviously was pissed, trying to recraft what was lost until he raged quit. He loads back in a 2nd time after a minute just to get his stuff back (The previous session with me) with the items he just crafted completely gone, and when I mean gone, the chest that had the materials that he crafted with were missing too. Since he hosts his world locally and it is his world, we've come to a conclusion it is a load sync issue. It's just a guess but seeing his blocks still there and his inventory reset, we think its a World/Inventory Loading Sync Issue. If you have any questions or have difficulty reading this wall of text, just reply and I'll respond. Peace out.

If you happen to lose you items when joining a server and then joining opt-out survival world I will make a backup or reload the world to get item back and where you were.

Asof the latest update on PS4, this started happening to me. I have found if you COMPLETELY WAIT for all thumbnails to load and the screen to stop pausing, you world should appear as normal. Additionally, when you save, do the exact same. Since I have been doing this process, I have not had the issue of losing items and returning to spawn. Again, wait till your Avatar appears and you are completely logged in. Wait for thumbnails to appear and wait for splash screen to stop jerking. After saving, wait till all thumbnails appear. I hope this helps.

alright guys this has happened to me twice on my PS5 as I am using a hard drive to save Minecraft because it's a PS4 game and it's a 8 TB hard drive probably $100 one or more so what I do is when I load in with my inventory missing at spawn I immediately exit the game and close it and then when I reopen it and go back into the world all my stuff is there but it's only happens when I save and quit beforehand so every time you save and quit make a copy of your world in case you do lose your stuff permanently from this bug then the copy should still have all your stuff
edit: as of today there's been an update that said the address 30 community issues or reports what not and I just installed the update and it seemed pretty good it was faster loading in I have about a gigabyte of progress saved on my survival world and it's a lot of stuff like I have a lot of stuff and it tends to get laggy sometimes even though I'm on a PS5 and I have pretty good ram I'd say in a graphics card but I just have a lot of mobs I guess and a lot of buildings and stuff I should be able to have more without it kind of treating me like it does so I doubt that that problem is going to happen again at least on my side having stuff set up if you guys are having issues I would say address everything that you could be doing wrong with like how you're setting up everything that you're playing on because I'd say Mojang does pretty good with their issues and it's only happened to me twice where I've lost my inventory but it sucks because I definitely don't want to play this game in fear saving my items in a chest every single time I save and quit it's kind of ridiculous and I don't think they should have a be able to have a bug this bad to where you have to immediately close your game the first time this happened to me it started saving as soon as I went to the world as I didn't have my inventory and note that my copy was kind of behind it wasn't I think maybe it was a copy that was recent and that would have been fine if I did lose everything but I really suggest it copy regularly whatever world you're playing on that you love copy it like as soon as you can every time you do something that takes a while

I thought someone from the company will contact me since I gave a 1/5 star review on Ivan C a Minecraft Expert because of an unresolved issue as per mentioned topic. I am waiting! Wasted hours and because of this glitch my progress has been wiped out!

This happened to me in my 2 year old survival world but I got my items and soawn point back after restarting the game.

Good afternoon, this problem started to happen to me when I tried to play on my laptop with a friend, the times I entered my world with and without her, my stuff was completely deleted and it seemed as if the world "didn't belong to me" I hope they fix it soon, I miss playing the game.

@Blumamu fix was released - 1.19.71 dropped today.

Wait, is MCPE-55815 not just a duplicate of this? That one isn't marked as fixed. Found this from the patch notes, but have been following the other report. Will have to see if I continue to encounter the issue.

That's a totally different issue, about people losing their inventory while being AFK. This is about losing your inventory when you join a world. Also, this one is much more easily (although temporarily) fixed, by exiting and rejoining the world. I have experienced this bug once or twice, but not the other one.

Well, that's not fixed in 1.19.81. I played with my friend today in 1.19.81 and he had got his inventory wiped an set to spawn.

It’s still a problem in 1.19.81. This is still an active bug

This is still an active bug. Happened today to me in Minecraft PE. “Went to bed” then saved. Logged back in 15 RL minutes later &, the entire inventory on my person was gone & I was back at the original spawn point. No death. Everything my character wasn’t carrying was untouched & in place. This is the second time that’s happened in a week. Afraid to log off without putting all my “holding” inventory into a chest.

v1.20.62
A week ago this started happening to me on a local world quite regularly, usually for the first load after starting the app. After loading I'm at the spawn with literally nothing. If I immediately leave the game and load the same world again, everything is back to normal.
This doesn't feel to be resolved.

Just logged in in a newly created world and experienced the same, closed with alt f4 and reopened world this time at my base with inventory ?!?
So definitly NOT resolved in 1.20.70 Windows 10

still a problem in 1.21.1
logged in a world that we used to play online while we were playing locally (so loaded it as lan) and as the second player joined his inventory was completely wiped clean. I already reported this problem in like 4 different places. This is becoming a nuisance because everytime the second player joins his inventory COULD be reset and i'd have to grind everything back again for the second player. It's the second time now this has happened.

Same problem in Version 1.21.30 on PC in single player. The world was the same, but all expensive items I had busted myself to get were gone. Please fix!!

This happened to me today, I already have good equipment diamond armor, pickaxe, sword and arrows which of course are all enchanted, but I chose to log out or exit minecraft bedrock on Android to take a break, but when I logged in all my items were gone I was very angry and shocked, all my efforts were in vain, this is very unsettling I am very tired of collecting it all, it takes time and price. This is very lame and of course annoying only in this version I experienced this before when I played the Java version, there was no problem at all, it suck. Aah, I really hate this version and regret buying it when I was hoping to be able to play minecraft games anywhere with the palm of my hand but instead I get things like this, things like this should have been taken into account from the beginning, there should be a checking stage before the release, hmmmm very disappointing.

This happened to me recently In my friends realm and it was quite frustrating as I had just obtained netherite and took a break from that realm only to discover my inventory was wiped and I was sent all the way back to spawn. Its like the game thought I was an entirely new player.
