Alright Talvin. No need to get angry. I take the hint. While I've read the previous comments it seems I'm a bit of a bull in a China shop here so I'll withdraw from the discussion.
It may not be present or as noticeable in a single-player server. However, I would like to see some testing done in a multiplayer Ultra Hardcore-like situation. This bug has created serious lag in the form of super-fast mobs and shortened days/nights during Ultra Hardcore matches in 1.6.2, where you have multiple people caving in various areas around a server at the same time (see Mindcrack Season UHC 12 on Youtube for an extreme example). I would suggest some of us get together to test this type of setup in laboratory conditions using the latest snapshot and in 1.6.2 (for control) before we rush to conclusions about this bug being fixed.

It was the Minecraft version that had changed when the crashing started, not the Open Broadcaster software. Because of this, I would request the ticket be re-opened. Then again, if this is really an issue, I guess you all will be hearing about it soon enough from other streamers who are able to replicate the issue.
We have just built Docm's farm design on our server using 14w10c, and spawn rates are pretty dismal. The tutorial was followed precisely. While the spawning issue may be fixed, the rate seems to be less than what it was before. Somewhere around 20 per minute.
