No I did not save and quit. My daughter closed out of it. Assuming there is no way to restore my lost items? That's all I would want it was hours of collecting in the end.
This happened to me as well on Switch. Had 6 shulker boxes placed filled with hours of harvesting.
Accidentally closed the game before save and exit and when I reloaded all 6 boxes were gone from their placement.
That's unfortunate thank you very much for your quick responses.
