Ok I think I’ve sort of figured it out. The problem reappeared yesterday, and we did some experimenting, and we think that you have to be logged in the play store under the same account you bought the game with and stay so while playing, otherwise it thinks you haven’t bought it. This is inconsistent though. When we first updated it, we signed back out and the game worked that day. The next day, it didn’t, and we signed in, but that time, you had to stay signed in otherwise the message would pop up.

Latest update (1.2.2) fixed it! Bro is very exited!
Thanks

Amit B I’ve seen the hacks... but that’s an illegal way to get around this bug. The hack was originally intended for this purpose- bypassing the “no license” screen, but not for a bug fix. We’ve all legally bought the game, so we should probably not get illegal patches.

I have tried with WiFi off but it still doesn’t work.

Hello. I am having this exact same problem on my little brother's tablet. He just found it the other day after it being lost for the past few months. He was playing Minecraft PE, and I told him about the new update (where computers and tablets play together). He was super exited, so we signed in the Play Store and updated his game. Come to find out, we launch it, and it says that I don't have a license for the game. I bought it several years ago on the same account I updated it on. I tried the whole spiel, uninstalling and re-installing entirely, rebooting, troubleshooting the internet connectivity, all to no avail. I'd like to see this fixed as much as Mr. Carlson here.

Thanks in advance!
