Just happened to my realm. I was building in the Nether, and my SO joined me briefly to supply me with some building blocks, after feeding our chicken. When he returned, ALL our animals are gone. Tame horses, saddled and armored horses, pet wolves, chicken, sheep of all sort of colors, cows, pigs, donkeys... 100s of animals just POOF, leaving empty pens behind as if they were just raptured!
Help? This farm took a while to tend to this size... 😞

I just encountered this, as well. MC:Windows 10. I was building in the Nether when my SO joined my Realm and into the Nether with me. When he went back, ALL 100s of my sheep, horses (armored and saddled and bare), cows, pigs, and chickens ALL disappeared from their pens!
Now, I have a lot of empty pens... 😞
I've seen my chickens getting stuck in ALL corners of a fenced in area.
Just came across this; I've been noticing the same "chicken-gets-stuck-on-fence-corner" thing on my new, current, Pocket Realm world, as well.
Boats. Docked boats are gone, too. Looks like this affects entities, not just animals.
