MC-37365 Falling when exiting minecart Duplicate

Comments

The pictures attached show what I built to test. It's in the overworld, not in the nether. It has a completely enclosed "station" at one end. If I exit in the station, I go through the floor--it seems to be every time. It would be good if there was a way for the game's logic to realize that there is a safe place with blocks to stand on all around the track and put you there.

Here is the tube, as seen from the outside, looking down the tracks.

Learning this interface. Picture got posted by itself. Will post a few more pictures to explain. I managed to reproduce this issue at will. I built a tube three blocks wide, three blocks high, and enclosed (so it's really 5 x 5 in cross section). I put railroad track down the middle. I dug a two-block pit (requiring putting a few blocks underneath the main tube) and put two powered rails and a button on a block next to it. If I sit in the cart and exit, I always fall through the tube into air, even though there are plenty of blocks on the inside. Even putting an extra row of blocks underneath the pit for the cart stop didn't change the result.
