Just wanted to comment on this as the Azure outage today confused me when combined with the 1.21.120 GDK Update. I'm sure others are/were in a similar situation. This update was somewhat game breaking for me as the Bedrock client launch shortcut on my Windows 11 taskbar stopped working and then went blank after a reboot.
Took some digging but found this buried in the changelog (This is what silentwisper's video was in reference to): "GDK Update on Windows Minecraft now runs on the latest GDK (Game Development Kit) This update aligns the game with the standard distribution model on Windows platforms File paths have been updated and upon first install load of this version of Minecraft, your existing Minecraft worlds and content will shift to: %APPDATA%\Minecraft Bedrock"
So, effectively, now I (and everyone else) have TWO copies of our previously saved content and game worlds on disk (as everything was copied and not moved). I understand the need for redundancy with an update like this, but better communication is expected for such a large change.
