Hey Dawe, I was totally fed up with this bug, but I have to say the last update has made the game playable for me on PSVR. The menu still clips thru the scenery but is at least just about visible now! Have you updated to the latest version?
Issicus...that is awful. Have you downloaded the latest update, released on the 7th (2 days ago)? I’m on PSVR but had assumed the bodged fix was platform wide.
They have bodged a fix! We can play properly in VR again! Thank you everyone involved.
Bryant, this means that changes to the user’s game code are being done all the while at a local level, without official patches. I imitially connected to the game today when online so it must have been downloaded then. In a way you could say it was sneaky, but frankly they can do it anyway they want if it is getting addressed. However my fear is that these might not even be intentional fixes, but the result of adjustment of other code without playtesting VR which is clearly what caused the problem in the first place.
They have acknowleged the problem in the last patch notes so at least that is something. Nice one for keeping us informed.
Confirmed Bryant. However, were these things perhaps both implemented in the recent update? I connected with my playstation offline and glass/water are still fixed, as are extra VR accessibility features in the menu. I don’t think it is possible to fix it in increments without actual extra updates being downloaded, which they havent been in the last few days. As I was offline I know I was playing an offline build of the game updated last week. Perhaps they were both already fixed last week and you just didnt notice it included both glass and water? Promising signs at least!
Jamison..patch released today hasn’t fixed the issue but on the main patch notes it acknowledges this is a known issue. I think at least we can relax a little for the time being assuming that the very next patch will address it. Crazy it has taken this long, crazy. I do hope it isn’t another 3+ months until the next patch.
It’s playable now Dawe. It’s not perfect, but it works. Check you’re on the latest version, which released a few weeks back. I had to manually “check for updates” on the playstation main screen. UI is now at least always visible but transluscent, so yes, not as good as before the December update messed it all up. They havent marked this issue as resolved, so hopefully it’ll improve further.
