Proceed to connect to remote play while Minecraft is open and you have entered a "world"
If you follow these directions the issue should be resolved although we should not have to go through this process every time we want to play Minecraft with remote play.
Also, keep in mind that if you close Minecraft you will have to restart the process I mentioned.

I have recently found a way to solve this issue.
Open Minecraft
Enter a "world" while logged into PSN
Proceed to connect to remote play while Minecraft is open and you have entered a "world"
