I just got the same issue after the most recent update nothing fixes it including rebooting Minecraft, powering off and on my laptop after 10 minutes and restarting my laptop.
Yep it’s affecting me as well I play on an Amazon kindle
This is still an issue with the Minecraft classic texture pack
