The UI looks small even if GUI Scale is set to max

Same problem here on my Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet. The Hot bar at the bottom is extremely small making it nearly impossible to play on my tablet. This is with the new GUI settings set to 0 “the highest” and the "Extra Large New UI" setting also on, but it does little to nothing to make it larger. My chat is also very small and hard to function as well as the heart bar is very small too with the new update. These changes all occurred after the new UI preview (26.0.27) update. Very frustrating, I hope a fix comes soon.

the Inventory bar became so small. Even with my son’s small fingers he said it’s difficult to play in Ipad. So it must be harder for adults.

My son is very unhappy with this part of the update as well.

I am playing on iPad with Minecraft Bedrock 26.0 (App Store). After update UI scale is much smaller than before and GUI scale doesn’t change it. I have tried Classic/Pocket UI and all scale settings — nothing fixes it. This bug makes the game very hard to play. Please fix. 😭

There’s nothing in the 26.0 changelogs to suggest that this was intentional

It makes it so hard to play minecraft because of this.

The super small UI is an issue for me as well. I set the GUI all the way up and it’s still tiny

I have exactly the same problem, its really interferes with the game.

No way to get craft…creative play is impossible!

I’m unable to even reach my controls with my hands. All of the controls on the main screen have shrunken too

This is the worst bug ever, the game is unplayable. I also noticed that using extra large UI doesn't do anything. It just sets the GUI Scale Bar to 0.

My gui was already set high and its affecting me as well. I have an android 14 tablet running version 26

Same thing happen to me, the GUI scale max is 0 still too small. Before that, the size is still acceptable

Please fix the tiny GUI. My son is very frustrated about not being able to play properly.

Please fix, makes the game unplayable and It’s difficult to navigate the Marketplace. I also have dyslexia and the small UI bug makes it very difficult to read text in game. I have the issue on an IPad and have checked other iPads which also have the issue.

I play Minecraft on an iPad too and I’m experiencing the same issue. It’s been hard for me to play properly ever since, so hopefully you can fix this in your next update?

My son and daughter both play on mobile devices and it’s unplayable. It is crazy small.

Newer IPad can barely see my hotbar, hud and ui. Crazy small and almost unplayable. Tried every setting to make larger … nothing works. Tons of people complaining online about it.

This breaks Minecraft for the iPad. Not playable without a huge amount of frustration. GUI scale setting can only go negative, making it even smaller. I think this is even bad enough where it might break US laws on disability accommodation - no way to make it larger for kids that have poor eyesight or problems with fine motor control. The hot bar slots are much much smaller than my fingertip with no way to enlarge them.

I figured out how to fix it on my iPad! All I did was go to the Main Homepage, Click Settings > Video > Change Screen Safe Area. I had to move mine down from 100.0 to 80.0 to fit well. Hope this helps!

This only fixes not being able to see health bar and hunger bar if they go off screen though.

This is a major issue with the size on iPads as my kids struggle to use it now as do I. Everything in inventory is too small

I’m on touch screen ipad. I was able to enlarge the menu buttons at the top of the screen in settings, but the tool bar/inventory remains too small to use and there is no longer an option in settings to change the size.

Hopefully they fix this soon. I have it on my Samsung 70 and it is difficult to see. Is there anyway to fix it on android? I miss playing the game. So do my nephews. I hate telling them they can't play and we can't fix it.

Nah extra large UI is bugged too. It only changes the select world screen from what I can tell. Mojang really had an oversight with this update. All that matters is it gets fixed before 26.10.

On IOS, The problem is still theree i have to manually access the game files and edit the scale even if i edit it the hotbar is still too small

This is the largest GUI setting. As you can see it is very hard to use.

This issue should be fixed in the 26.1 hotfix.

Still haven’t received 26.1 on my iPad

My android tablet received 26.1 but iPad didn’t have 26.1, it stayed at 26.0 which the bug is still there!!!
