I have the same issue, when I played for too long like, let's say for about 10 minutes. Minecraft automatically crashes out like, dude it's annoying
Never mind I'm stupid I was using a dropper
Can confirm Windows and Android versions being affected by this.
This is very annoying indeed, happening on Android phone and PC.
Coming from Java Edition and now playing Bedrock with some friends, I find this issue REALLY annoying. It's almost impossible to fly long 2x3 tunnels in the nether without constantly taking damage. Please fix this issue.
Edit: Just tried 1.19.70.24 Preview, this is still an issue.
Sorry for my english, but..
PS5(Disc version) updated recreated DB + Minecraft Bedrock disk version cleared reinstalled updated + VanillaBDCraft (93.4MB with HD UI 1.2MB) reinstalled
all settings:
1. Single player my world (copy of my world), new world, infinity/flat = few crashes, but after it is OK
2. Split screen my world, new world = few more crashes, but after it is OK
3. My Realm (copy of my world), new world = required from Realm world or used from players pack settings CRASH, CRASH, CRASH, 256x 128x 64x 32x,
Also Only VanillaBDCraft HD UI used CRASH, anything CRASH CRASH CRASH. I buy it, but i cant use it. This is joke?
"Old" Mi Mix 3 - M1810E5A + Android Bedrock version + VanillaBDCraft all settings:
1. Single player world OK
2. My Realm OK
*If i have pack in game and realm do not require any pack, i can't use my pack on this realm? (PS5)
Still somewhat unresolved for 1.18 live release.
Performance is still really poor compared to 1.16.5
Happens in the latest snapshots for 1.18.
This happens also when doing it by hand. Also putting the water in a stair or directly gives the same result. It seems indeed to be a flow-problem where the lava is faster then the water.
Very well. I apologize for my rash reaction it won't happen again.
They don't for me and i've been testing this for a long while.
Like i said you are probably confused and saw mobs leave a cave entrance or a hole in Dark Forest.
They can no longer spawn under canopies themselves even when block light is 0.
In 1.16 and 1.17 they spawn in Dark Forests normally.
You are probably confused and saw mobs leave a cave entrance or a hole in Dark Forest cause that's the only way the can spawn in daytime in 1.18. They can no longer spawn under the canopies themselves.
While in 1.17 and 1.16 i barely need to wait few seconds before i'm getting shot by skeletons and harassed by creepers.
I've been testing this for hours across different snapshots and pre releases no hostile mobs ever appear in Dark Forests during daytime in 1.18 versions.
Then why are hostile mobs not spawning anymore in Dark Forests in 1.18 during daytime? Yet they are in 1.17
Clearly something is wrong
The changes supposed to affect Block light only from what i recall.
So you don't have to light up every single corner of cave , house , village to prevent mobs from spawning.
But Sky Light wasn't supposed to be touched so there is something wrong here. And it just makes originaly hostile surface biomes just barren and borring since Sky Light cannot ever reach 0 in those during day.
Fix for this would in no way affect you needing to place 1000 torches to safeproof an area if that's what you are worried about. Block light and Sky Light are separate things.
Confirmed in 1.18-pre2

Still a thing
Hmm for me 21w44a seems to have a little less fps problems than 21w43a (still not nearly as fps good as 1.16.5)
Yes it’s still an issue. It’s been an issue for years.
