This is now fixed for me (or rather my son).  We are both thrilled and my son says "Thank You, Mojang"  We also got the message box when first going into Marketplace on 1.20.15 about a failed transaction. I don't recall one but its not impossible.  No free minecoins though!!🙂.  Thanks to Mojang and also those who flagged the link to a purchase issue.

Experiencing the same issue. With Minecraft crashing on an iPad between 1-10 seconds after opening.  Again can be partially fixed by turning Wi-fi Off going into a world and then turning Wi-fi on.  Once actually in the worlds they work fine (or as usual) even with high resource demands e.g. lots of mobs being spawned.  However, marketplace and purchases not available with this solution. Occasionally by retrying and retrying the entry I can get with the Wifi on and access marketplace but it seems at random and is very frustrating not to be able to create worlds with purchased mobs. iPad is 3 years and decent amount of memory left. Reinstalling minecraft has not worked nor has applying all the recent updates including the jump to 1.20

Update: Issue still exists after 1.20.12 update

Update2: Issue still exists after 1.20.13 update 😞

Additional info: iPadOS 16.5.1 (c)

iPad (8th Generation)

The error message I was getting was oops you aren’t logged into your Microsoft account go to the main menu. Only the main menu didn’t have a login button. I resolved this in the end by 1) taking a copy of Games folder from the glitching version. 2) deleting and then reinstalling the app -this would connect properly but not have the preexisting worlds  3) taking a backup of the new games folder in the new version 4) on the computer with the backup copying the world folders from the glitchy version to the new games folder 5)copying back the updated games folder into the app.
