Confirmed in 1.10.2

Even a tamed, saddled, named skeleton horse created through admin commands will not accept a lead.

Confirming and corroborating for 1.10.2

  • In my experience this also occurs if you are standing on a tilled block when it becomes normal dirt due to time. It almost seems as if one gets physically stuck in that top 1/8th or 1/16th block height difference between tilled and untilled dirt.

  • one interesting note - if I am holding down the jump button while jumping into tilled earth I don't get stuck, and continue jumping as normal.

Confirming - still a problem in 1.10.2 .

I second the analysis of the issue offered by BoxFigs and Sonicwave. This is especially evident when swimming, as the darkening of the horizon seems to occur only when one's feet are significantly below water. When swimming on the surface, the horizon lightens/darkens with each 'stroke'.

edit: i.e. the light levels seem to be calculated from the feet, not the head.

This sounds like a great candidate for the reason behind the jerky lag issue when travelling (loading new chunks) seemingly introduced in 1.8. Has any progress been made on this?

Probably related, this also occurs when swimming on the surface of water (not yet submerged)
