From what I understand this has been a reason for some time. Couple of friends of mine have said they have been having this issue with Realms (first instance must have been over a month ago), and all they could do is wait for it to fix itself). Today I have been having the same issue myself.
It would be greatly appreciated as myself (and many others I assume) are long-time subscribers of Minecraft Realms, and we would like to be able to at least utilise the product for which we are paying.
