I play singleplayer on just a regular world and still, the issues apply to that as well.

I dont see any new improvements with the update,There is still audio delay and frames are still drop in handheld,At this point im just gonna play something else if this switch port is not going to be improved,I gave an idea on what Mojang can do to help mitigate the issue with disabiling clips AKA Background Recording but it seems my voice isnt going to be heard any time soon. Thanks For Nothing Mojang.I hope you improve apon the performance for the next Nintendo console And Release Minecraft Bedrock on Steam For Steam Deck Users.

I played a survival world between docked and handheld and there is a slight difference, while it is a slight bit smoother, the audio studdering and frame drops are a pain, ive tried setting the max fps to 60 to help but that didn't work, fancy graphics are off and they dont do much and ive even switched to the Minecraft classic texture pack and there is still a noticeable studders in fps and audio in handheld and the audio studdering continues even in docked mode.Honesty if someone could advocate to Nintendo about improving the GPU speeds in Handheld that would do wonders. But we need major optimizations not just for the Switch edition, we're talking all editions, Mobile, Consoles such as the Xbox One Or PS4 and so those with potato PCs can play this game as well. If you want Minecraft to be universal then you have to optimize the game to help it run better on older-gen/Potato hardware.

Update-

Boost Mode was implemented in the console itself via switch version 8.0.0 so I apologize for the confusion, I assume Mojang wants users to play on a dock rather than handheld, So some of this is on Nintendo's part with the GPU clock speed only running at 307.2 Mhz in handheld compared to docked which is 768 Mhz so Nintendo is severely bottle-necking (holding back) on the performance in handheld because of the battery in the switch not being that great long term. However, that does not mean Mojang is out of the blue yet, Mojang needs to optimize the game to fit the needs of the console by what was previously mentioned, disabling background recording so that it clears up resources more towards the game than recording something. The main fault after doing some research is that Nintendo is holding back extremely when it comes to handheld mode and it doesn't look like they are going to go higher unless there is a massive outcry to boost the Switch's performance, What we need from Mojang is disabling background recording to have more resources from the CPU and GPU into the game and optimizing the game correctly to make it a smooth experience on the switch

OR

Have them Re-release the older 4J studios version which was much more optimized for the switch as a sort of "Minecraft Classic Edition" Which would be locked to a certain version and receive bug fixes like its a completed game, it would have multiplayer like it did originally and then bedrock would be used for the newer gen consoles, This would make a lot of money and I don't see why they would not take this marketing decision.

Even in-game is a pain,It has random studdering in graphics and delayed audio even when fancy graphics are turned off and the render distance is turned low (7 chunks) it did nothing, even turned off screen animations but that didnt do anything either,The problem here is that they AKA Mojang,Is not using these other features that even their biggest competitor,Fortnite has disabled background recording in favor of performance.

Boost Mode is essentially the application telling the console to ramp up the Output power or Mhz(Megahertz) of the CPU (Central Processing Unit) and the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) in favor of smoother frame rates. While although your battery and fans may go down more and blow faster,It will give the much needed "Boost" to help the game

Through a technical standpoint,Removing Background Recording with the 30 second clips would help free up resources from the CPU or the main processor to go more towards gameplay along with "Boost Mode" Would possibly help the game last longer for more updates in the future. I would like to clarify that screenshots are perfectly fine its just background recording and the lack of using nintendo's "Boost Mode" to help with optimization and quality on the switch version of Minecraft

They need to disable background recording and turn on "Boost Mode" Since other games on the switch have utilized this feature to keep up with 60fps games such as smash, hopefully doing that will help with the switch's performance by freeing up more resources to smooth the frames
