Custom skins stopped working for me on my iPad Pro 12.9 after 1.1.3 with the same symptoms described above. I continue to get "Invalid Skin" error when loading the world.

Yes I agree the spawn rate is extremely low. I have been playing my world for almost 3 months and I have only seen 5 enderman. The reason I know is because I am trying to get to the end in survival and have been unsuccessful in gathering 12 ender pearls. I have also noticed that all other hostile mob spawn rates are extremely low, it used to be scary to be out night but it is really easy even on the hardest setting.
