We shouldn't have to get used to something that was previously a feature and now is not.
Also the reason it was changed (to allow the tab key to make menus more accessible) isn't even functional so it makes no sense to break it now.
Can confirm this for 1.14.2
had 16 villagers in boats on a server completely safe. flew a few chunks away and when i flew back 4 of them had disappeared
I don't understand what the issue is with reverting it until they can properly fix it. Right now enchanting is so unrewarding that it's better to afk fish farm for books than to use the enchantment table in its current state.
Just revert the change until the new system is properly working.
Arrow keys being assigned to navigating menus would definitely make more sense than spamming the tab key, moreso than tab being commonly bound as the inventory open/close button
Having the exact same issue. Converted a world from 1.12 to 1.13 and now to 1.13.1 and cannot find any buried treasure. Even used the /locate command and entered spectator mode to look for chests. Still can't find any after two separate buried treasure map attempts.
The attached screenshot shows the column in which the chest should appear but it is empty.
In single player, survival, vanilla minecraft.
