This worked! Thank you. 

Digital version. No freezing during main menu. We used to have that, previous to the Nether Update, but we do not have that now. New issue. It seems to not be able to play with a Microsoft Account signed into it.

Things we tried:

1. Log into Microsoft Account,

2. Our skins are there,

3. We create a new world,

4. It loads the resource packs

5. Generating World and crashes with CE-34878-0

Reinstalled game

1. Already logged in with Microsoft Account

2. Skins there

3. We create a new world

4. It loads resource packs

5. Generating World and crashes with CE-34878-0

Log out of Microsoft Account

1. Skins not there

2. Create a new world

3. Loads resource packs

4. Generating world.

5. And playing!

We have also tried to uninstall Minecraft data from PS4, and it will work until you sign into with Microsoft Account. Then it crashes with the above error. This limits the crossplay capabilities that my son and I have, obviously.
