My kids had this same problem connecting to our world on a Windows 10 computer using their Switch consoles. One booted up Minecraft fine and only crashed occasionally (with the software closed due to an error black screen), while the other took ages to load Minecraft, hanging at a black screen both before and after the Nintendo Switch logo screen appeared. And even after it finally loaded, the game crashed at seemingly random times.
