Still crashing. It’s been several days now.
Game loads red MOJANG screen, then solid white screen, then gray Minecraft loading screen with progress bar to 40%, then immediately crashes back to iOS Home Screen.
Self-resolved for a few days, and now the problem is happening again. Yesterday, I was playing Minecraft. I sat my iPad down for a couple of hours. When I picked it back up, the app wouldn’t load without crashing. I’ve tried with WiFi on and off. Tried on iOS 16.7.1, 16.7.2 and 17.1.
Tried upgrading my iPad iOS to 17, but it didn’t help. .
still crashing at 40%
Didn’t make any changes, and this morning it’s loading.
Have you tried launching Minecraft today? Mine is launching normally.
Seems to crash at the 40% loaded mark. Not sure if that’s helpful.
I’ve removed all third-party resource and behavior packs. Still crashes.
Was working fine until the 1.20.40 update. Did not work on the previous iOS 16.7.1 after 1.20.40 update. Updating iOS to 16.7.2 did not fix the problem.
I had the same problem, but with apostrophes and quotation marks. Commas don't seem to bother it. Running the latest update 1.20.31 on an iPad Pro 10" running iOS 16. Tried it with both signs and books. Had the same problem with both.
Turning the internet off temporarily until I had a world loaded worked. Once I was in that world, I turned on my internet, left that world and entered my Realm. But the Marketplace won’t load.
After updating my iPad to iOS 6.1.1, sound works normally.
Still affects 1.19.31 on my iPad Pro running iOS 15.7. Any time I go back to my Home Screen and then switch back to MC I have to restart MC to get the sound to come back.
Still having this problem in v 1.19.31. My maximum render distance is still 9 chunks, which makes it hard to appreciate the new world generation.
iPad Pro 10.5” running iOS 15.7.
I went back to an old world save and everything seems to be working correctly. This issue can be closed.
I’ve tried using experience from several different sources (killing mobs, breeding animals, etc). Also tried disenchanting the pickaxe and adding all new enchantments. I have a sword that I enchanted with Mending, and it appears to be working as intended. Only the pickaxe is giving me any problems.
Yes, I’m holding the pickaxe in my right hand. No other Mending items in inventory.
I’m on an IPad Pro 10.5” running iOS 15.4, and Bedrock 1.18.12. I can only raise my render distance to 9, and it’s recommending 6 chunks. Hard to appreciate the huge caves and mountains when I can’t see them. In 1.17, I was able to set my render distance to 24 or higher.
Resolved on my own. I was tapping the fish, instead of long-pressing on the fish.
Has happened to me twice with my 1.17.41 world. Both times, I had turned off a resource pack I’d been using. The resource packs didn’t deal with armor stands or livestock, but my armor stands and all my livestock disappeared, including two horses with gold armor and a skeleton horse I had tethered to a post. Luckily I only lost two days of work, as I had a world backup. I’ll be backing up my world more often until this gets resolved.
1.20.41 seems to have fixed it.
