Also, please understand that the world may be corrupted if you used third party tools to build the world, or if third party tools were used to modify the world.
If you can provide more information, please be sure to create a new, more detailed report.
Bukkit uses jline to get around this problem, however, that feature is not present in vanilla Minecraft.
This sounds more like a feature request for a better console output, not a bug report, per se.
Please be sure to create a new issue with a crash report if this is still a problem. Closing as incomplete due to lack of information provided.
I am unable to reproduce problem. Lack of information provided in the bug report to reproduce the problem as described.
Please be sure to create a new problem with many more details if this is still a concern.
Please bring up these issues on the Bukkit Help forums.
This is not a bug that should be presented to Mojang - they cannot help with the CraftBukkit server or plugins.
This is working as intended. Thank you for the report. 🙂
This is an issue with the Mojang Session/Authentication servers.
Please see help.mojang.com for more information.
There is no information in this ticket to properly check into a bug report. Please see help.mojang.com for support.
Sorry Mike, we disagree. You may find certain features undesirable, but others may like those very same features. However, those features are not bugs and will be treated as such - feature requests, which do not belong on this Jira.
We do not disagree that there is a lack of a great place to report annoyances, however, this Jira instance is not the place to report those annoyances at this time.
Suspect server implemented coloured MOTD's incorrectly. I cannot reproduce this bug.
This seems to be caused by server lists trying to inject color codes, poorly, into their MOTD. Can you get the MOTD line from that server? Can you reproduce on any other server?
Please provide more information on a new ticket. This cannot be reproduced by the team.
Also, it may help to not close the game with the 'X' as this does not allow the worlds to be saved before closing MC.
This ticket is incomplete, please provide details about the issue you are experiencing.

Thank you Kevin, the issue has been updated.
Steve, I will update this issue to reflect the affected version field. Please keep track of this bug and update accordingly for new releases/pre-releases as they come out.
This helps us and Mojang know which bugs affect each version, and how many versions in which this has been an issue. If it remains a bug for 10 versions, there should be 10 versions listed in the "Affects Version/s" segment of this ticket. Comment if more information is needed, but a simple update of that field will suffice.
Can no longer reproduce on 1.4.4. Marking as such.
Please, if this is still an issue, recreate the ticket noting this ticket in the description of the issue.
Thank you for testing again on the latest Pre-Release.
Reopened and marked as confirmed, since https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-46082?focusedCommentId=142437&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-142437 will reproduce the crash.
