My child has the same problem with his Microsoft Win 10 / Bedrock. I have tried everything regarding his microsoft account and XBOX account. Its just not working. None of the friends of his showing in the XBOX app, appears in Minecraft. There is none online, none playing... although I can see there is in the app.
