iPad mini 2, Minecraft v 1.7.0, iOS 12.0.1, crashes with white screen, mine craft logo, then shows message “unable to load resources” or similar, then dumps to home screen. Much time invested in worlds - I’m going to be very very angry if your defect cannot be fixed quickly.
