For me, 26.1 caused a “can launch but cannot open a world” issue → unplayable. 26.2 fixed the “cannot open a world” issue → playable. 26.3 caused a “cannot even launch” issue → unplayable. Frustrating is right. I am close to giving up on Bedrock entirely.

I just wanted to note that I am trying to open the Bedrock version from the Minecraft Launcher.

Same issue exactly. Mine seems to fail a bit quicker, but it’s the same result.

All drivers, etc. are up to date. Tried a Minecraft for Windows “reset”. Reset the Microsoft Store. Rebooted PC. Nothing has helped.

The game is completely unplayable because it will not even open.

I am now able to open both local and realm worlds. What was the issue there?

Uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Same issue. The game remains unplayable for one week as of tomorrow. How are more people not affected by this?

Just in case it’s related to the UI aspect ratio… My issue is on a tower PC connected to a Philips monitor at 1920 x 1080, with my Minecraft window set to 1520 x 855.

I try to open any local or realm world, and the entire game closes its window after a few seconds of trying to load the world.

I have the same issue since the last update (26.1).

Rebooting my PC does not resolve this issue for me. At least not consistently, and this problem has repeated itself periodically for some time. I know of at least three other people this affects, as well.

Yesterday I tried wsreset, reboot, logout/in, etc. multiple times. No joy the entire day. Sadness ensued.

And today, sadness continues. Same issue even after uninstalling Xbox, Xbox Live, and Xbox Live Insider Hub, then reinstalling Xbox and Xbox Live.

However...

  • I can sign in under a different MS account and sign in to Minecraft just fine on the same PC.

  • I can also sign in under my main MS account on a different device, a Windows laptop.

Not being able to sign in under my main MS account to continue my world play and produce videos on my production PC is very problematic.

Btw, I used the Windows Apps > Installed Apps > Minecraft options to Repair and to Reset. Neither of those options worked.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft. That fixed the issue. Please don't make me do that every time this happens. Please. I beg of you.

Thank you! I did search for this issue before raising a ticket but was unable to find it.  :- )

A player on our realm reports the same problem.

This is definitely something that needs to be addressed.

Thx.  :- )

I have the same exact issue as Tyler Brown noted, above. This behavior is affecting villagers I have cured 5+ times, to ensure I was at the minimum rates possible.

This rise in prices is not happening because of day-after-day trading. That occurs, as well, but I expect it. If I leave the cured villagers alone for long periods between trades, SOME of them slowly raise their prices. I had two farmers at 1 potato per emerald. Then the price became 2, then 3, and now it is 6 potatoes per emerald. There is no legitimate reason for them to have raised their rates.

However, I have a librarian who stands not far from them, and his prices continue to remain at the minimum cured price: 1 paper per emerald. He has never raised his prices like the farmers have. (He will temporarily raise the price to the maximum if I over-trade him, but again, I expect that.)

I would agree with Andrew Kruse that this issue is unrelated to the supply and demand mechanic.

My experience puts a damper on Mr. K's comment. I have one trident killer that has lost three tridents. The first two were thrown directly into the center of the kill chamber (4x4). The third trident was thrown into a north facing piston. Every one of these three tridents disappeared on me. I won't sacrifice any others until this gets resolved.

I went into an older, Creative world. It seems to have no issues. I also created a brand new Survival world. It has no lag issues, either. Something has corrupted my main world to make it unplayable. Please help me save my investment. Thx.

I removed the four most recent *.ldb files from my world's db folder. I opened my world, and everything seems to be fine. It only took 2-3 minutes to load resource packs, and all of my old and recent builds are there. I quit and saved, and it took just a short time. As well, the file size remained where it was roughly, at 234Mb.

I then reopened my world to see if it was okay. Everything seems to be there, but it is completely unplayable. The lag is humongous. Forward movement is so jerky, I've no ability to guess when I need to jump to climb. I can't even open an iron door to get inside my base; the button stays depressed, and the door does nothing. The entire experience is dreadful.

Finally, it took 15 minutes to save, and the file size has now grown to 249Mb for no apparent reason. I can't play anymore.

Please help.

I reopened my world, and only about six chunks were visible (the visible world was rectangular-ish). Everything surrounding the immediate area where I was when I closed the world was void. I've spent months on this world, so you can imagine how gutted I was. I closed it and tried to open it again and saw that its size had grown to 2.5Gb! It took over 30 minutes to load the resource packs and then it crashed my entire PC.

My world has given me zero problems up until now. The only thing I've done yesterday/today, so it may be related, is I joined my friend's world to play Terra Swoop Force yesterday afternoon. I downloaded the resource packs I was required to in order to play. When we finished, my friend closed his world, and I got the normal disconnected message. I then went into my world, and started noticing lag issues (late sounds and block updates). It worked, but it was annoying. Today, however, everything got so much worse until now, it is completely unplayable.

Please help!

Please close as a non-issue. The two lecterns I had placed in front of those two villagers were already claimed by other villagers in another area of the village. As soon as I set aside two lecterns for those two "outside" villagers, both of the two "misbehaving" villagers took up the job of the workstation I put in front of them.

Apologies for the unnecessary Jira incident.
