We should not need an outside server to play when fullscreened, this is a bug that needs to be addressed as it is clearly affecting gameplay. Also, not all of us are tech savvy, so switching between applications can be confusing, and even risky if we get into the wrong kinds.
My daughter and I are also experiencing this, it is making gameplay nearly impossible.
