Same thing here. When I first tried to download Bedrock, it said "error" and the download wouldn't start (See attached screenshot). After closing and opening launcher again, I could try to install it again, but after that the button just stays grayed out and the download doesn't start.

I've maxed it but it only helped a little bit. My farm isn't far away from my house but when I went caving it stopped growing. As I have already said, it wasn't like that on PS4 Edition
