This report should be reopened, it has been set as a duplicate of MCPE-126660, but that issue refers to positioning of certain items incorrectly when using a cape, this report refers to shield not even rendering when in the left hand.

This issue is still a thing in version 1.18.2 on PS4 (quite an annoying bug)

I would also like to add that the same thing happens when mining one block below the player. I think it is the same issue so I decided not to open a new bug report.

I don't know if it is just me, but this issue has reappeared, greatly reduced (before the cursor would sometimes disappear for long amounts of time if someone had their inventory open), now it just flickers. I think this might need to be reopened...

This happens to me on PS4, is this the case on other platforms too?

I hope Mojang looks into fixing this quickly because it is a bug that makes certain things like aiming with bows or trident impossible whilst someone else is just sorting out their inventory or chests...

I've had this constantly since 1.16.220 and I hope the next update fixes it...

Edit: I wanted to add that this does not only affect opening UI like inventory or all the ones mentioned above. It also happens to me when going to sleep in a bed
